What data does the journal use?
Your account contains sign-in details and optional profile details. In the journal you store trades, account settings, screenshots, day reviews, check-ins and, where available, Playbooks, process checks, AI reviews and coach conversations.
How are they processed?
Supabase handles authentication and storage; the website is hosted through Vercel. Stripe handles subscriptions and payments. EdgeAligned does not store full card or bank details in the journal.
What can a coach see?
Only accounts you select are shared. After accepting, your coach can view trades, results, risk, sessions and recorded assessments and process checks. Screenshots and Trade review / lesson text are shared only when you choose those options separately. Emotions, emotion notes, check-ins and payment details stay private. Personal day reviews require a separate sharing choice, disabled by default. Your coach cannot edit your journal, but can write, edit and delete their own feedback and replies. Revoke access through Coach workspace. The coach then loses access to the conversations and neither of you can reply; you can still read your existing conversation history.
Which data does the AI assistant use?
For a free-form journal question, your question, the last three conversation turns, shortened extracts from older exchanges and calculated summaries over the relevant history plus selected trade examples, emotion labels and process checks are sent to OpenAI. Without a specific period question, your full journal through today is the starting point. For large selections AI receives a limited set of examples; counts are shown with the answer. Weekly reviews send weekly figures and day details. Product guidance and calculated market, session and hourly comparisons send no AI request. Free-text notes and trading plan text are added only if you select those options. Screenshots are not sent. In AI Assistant you can save sharing choices with your user profile for future visits. New conversation keeps them; you can change them at any time. Both boxes default to off for new users. Sharing starts only when you submit a question. Conversations are saved privately to your account until you delete them or your account. Use Conversations to read, search and resume them. They are not shared with coaches. Conversations and sharing preferences are excluded from the JSON journal backup. This feature is included with the Pro subscription.
Manage your data
You can edit journal data, export a journal backup and delete your account through the app. The backup does not include the separate Pro trading plan, weekly focus, saved AI reviews, AI Assistant conversations or coach conversations. For other privacy questions, use the contact page.
